Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OC (born March 4th, 1954)is a Canadian-American actress as well as a comedian and writer. O'Hara has been awarded a variety of awards that include the Genie Award (a Golden Globe Award) as well as two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, O'Hara was awarded six Canadian Screen Awards. She was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara's first recognition as an actress while she was a member the The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. She was part of the main cast in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978) alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. O'Hara as well as Candy started work on Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara won an Primetime Emmy Award in 1981 for her writing in the Outstanding category for Variety Series. O'Hara, Steve Carell and Dwayne Colbert were included on the Second City artistic board in 2022.
