Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965), is an American actress from the United States. She is best known for her starring role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. Following the conclusion of the seventh season the show was cancelled on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was a New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) was teacher and family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI as an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian, of English descent. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish heritage and has said she is a part of Passover seders.
